Prefabricated Panelization

Our core offering is high-performance panelized systems, custom-designed and manufactured to suit the needs of each project.

We offer panels at various levels of completion — from basic structural framing with membrane, all the way to fully finished panels including cladding and pre-installed windows.

Why Panelization?

Panelization drastically reduces on-site labor and construction time, minimizes weather-related delays, and improves quality control by shifting the work to a controlled factory environment.

For mass timber buildings, panelized components also support the clean, efficient workflows required for high-precision assemblies.

CSA-Approved Systems

FAB’s panels are CSA A277 certified, giving developers and general contractors added confidence that our prefabricated systems meet Canada’s rigorous quality and safety standards. This certification is a key differentiator — ensuring compliance, reducing inspection delays, and streamlining approvals.

Mass Timber Superstructure

On Site Installation

We act as both consultants and installers for the superstructure of mass timber buildings — including CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber), NLT (Nail-Laminated Timber), and Glulam components.

From early design coordination to final installation, our team ensures structural integrity, sequencing efficiency, and smooth integration with other trades.

Sequencing & Site Logistics

Mass timber and panelized construction require meticulous sequencing and logistical planning, and this is where FAB excels. We work closely with site teams, project managers, and crane operators to ensure every delivery and installation happens just in time, aligning with the build schedule and minimizing storage requirements.

From the early design phase, we build logistics into our models and construction approach — accounting for crane paths, laydown areas, delivery timing, and installation sequences. By managing the flow of prefabricated components with precision, we reduce congestion, avoid costly delays, and keep crews working efficiently.

LOD 400 Coordination

FAB Structures develops and utilizes LOD 400-level models, bringing fabrication-ready detail into the BIM process.

This enables precise coordination, clash detection, and seamless integration with MEP and other systems — reducing costly rework and keeping projects on schedule.

Supporting Rapid Housing & Canadian Sustainability Goals

With rising demand for affordable housing and low-carbon construction, FAB Structures is positioned at the intersection of innovation and impact:

  • Mass timber buildings can reduce embodied carbon by up to 45% compared to traditional concrete and steel.
  • Off-site construction methods like panelization can cut build times by 20-40%, helping to accelerate housing delivery in growing urban centers.
  • Prefabricated systems support Canada’s National Housing Strategy and local municipal initiatives focused on sustainable, rapid-build solutions.
  • Panelized timber buildings contribute to Passive House and Net Zero Ready standards through improved thermal performance and air tightness.
