412 Barton Street is a new prefabricated housing project in Hamilton, consisting of supportive housing units for seniors experiencing homelessness, with a particular focus on Indigenous and Black individuals aged 55 and over, and with 100% of the units dedicated to women.
The six-storey building includes 15 units and is located on Barton Street in Hamilton. Fab Structures acted as the superstructure consultant, with a scope of work that included the fabrication of light wood frame panels as well as the installation of the building structure (mass timber NLT and LWF panels).
Off-site fabrication enabled the efficient use of a constrained site by leveraging prefabricated components.
