Description

Klimat is a 6,000 square foot climbing and fitness gym located in Wakefield, QC. Climbers from around the nation come to visit this beautiful wooden space.  For this project Sam Cloutier and Jazz Maisonneuve took on the design and interior finishing side of the project, while Fab built the energy efficient envelope including cross laminated timber (CLT) and the timber frame. The space took just 2 weeks to put up and the building consumes very little energy. “In the winter we pretty much just use the heated slab for the whole building and don’t even use the heaters up top “ - says owner Sam Cloutier.
