Café Palmier is a coffee shop located in the heart of the Gatineau Hills, Chelsea Quebec. It was designed and built by Fab using passive house principles. Working closely with the client’s vision Fab was able to integrate that “Palms Spring” vibe, that Renee Rocher (owner) was so fond of, using soft pastel tones, natural textures such as cotton and linen, blonde wood with plenty of character, and concrete. The exposed cross-laminated timber (CLT) walls that make up the building’s structure and interior finish create a relaxing environment where customers can sit and enjoy the exposed wood and southern light that floods in through the triple pane south facing windows.
